Good Samaritan Hospital

Good Samaritan Hospital opened in 1965 as a general acute-care hospital. We have a licensed bed capacity of 422. In addition to providing general acute care services, Good Samaritan provides tertiary services including cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, cancer treatment, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatric and detox treatment, skilled nursing services and a stroke treatment center. Our Mission Oaks campus houses the new location of the PlaneTree Health Library and the Integrative Wellness Center. Good Samaritan Hospital has established its place in Santa Clara County as the hospital of choice. A key to this success has been a commitment to taking a leadership role in researching and adopting the latest in technological and clinical practices.

Good Samaritan Hospital is an accredited hospital through the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). "The mission of JCAHO is to continuously improve the safety and quality of care provided to the public through the provision of health care accreditation and related services that support performance improvement in health care organizations. JCAHO accreditation is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization's commitment to meeting certain performance standards," states the Joint Commission.
